Question New to RVing.....need help with furnace

I have no idea to use my furnace in my brand new Jayco Swift XLS 154BH. The owners manual wasn't any help. It's an Atwood furnace. I can't seem to move the switch on the thermostat and am afraid that if I force it, it will break.

Any help would be most appreciated!!!!!!

Imak - we had the same issue with our 19H when we first got it. I had to pop the cover off the thermostat and wiggle it around a bit. It eventually came free and worked fine after that. You must be careful as I can see where it would be very easy to break it off....that is nooooo good.

Welcome to RVing and welcome to JOF !!!

If yours is he same as the one in our 2012 228 the on / off switch is on the top of the thermostat. Yes it is very stiff to move, just give it firm pressure and you should have no problems.

Same here. I have the 184BH. The on/off switch is really stiff. It feels like I'm going to break it every time I've turned it on. Once it's on though, you shouldn't have to do anything else.
