Picked up our swift 154

We are first time Jayco owners, first time TT owners. We came out of a 2005 viking saga pop up.

We will have our maiden voyage this weekend, I will post pics and a review if anyone is interested.

Loving the layout but I do have one "concern".....the air conditioner, my husband and I are not quite happy with how the water runs down the side of the camper, right down the window...it just seems like down the road this is going to be an issue, or if you are not perfectly level. We are going to mod it a tiny bit by adding some flashing as a gutter to divert the water from the camper....cant really think of any other way to try and "solve" the problem, anyone else have ideas for it?

Welcome Chris! Glad you found us!

On my camper I added some gutter extenders (pictured below). They are pretty cheap and keep the water from running down the camper. I tend to level the camper lower on one corner - whichever one I want the AC to drain to.

Congrats, we just got the 184. Very simular unit. I know exactly what you are talking about with the ac. I have been trying to think of something as well. One idea i had was to put a short track on the wall just below the ac and then fabricate a peice of metal to slide in. That would be a more permanent option. Another idea i had was to use a small piece of flat metal and attach a flat magnet to one side and see if it would stick to trailer just below ac. This would be a solution that you would have to do everytime you drove to campsite. We havent had a problem with it dripping on window but we havent used but two times. But i dont like it drioping on window though. Let me know what you come up with.

They just snapped right on to the gutter ends, there was no modification necessary. Been on for 2 years with no problem.

Unless you have one of those new magnets that stick to aluminum or fiberglass, that might not be the way to go.

We think we may have a mod/solution to the dripping Ac issue, I will post it when we do it after this weekend.

Good point mcfarmall, had a blonde moment. The gutter ends wont work to fix the problem. Camprock, please post your idea im interested.
