Power jack failure

My power jack on our trailer failed while I was disconnecting when I got home. It has power, so it appears the motor is hooped. Trailer is now at the dealership for repairs under warranty, I am alo having them replace 3 rims for corrosion and repair a loose piece of ceiling trim. Dealership has been great so far for service.

Check your ground. My jack quit on me and it was just a bad ground as mine grounds thru the mount to the trailer frame

Appreciate the info, I figure that it is under warranty and I only live about 7 minutes away from Traveland where we bought it. They are also going to check the paint protection that was applied when it was new.....so far I do not see any problems with it...but they wanted to see it after a year and a half

Besides the slow blow fuse there is also a self resetting thermal fuse inside so after you have made sure the external fuse is good try the jack again now and see if it works now..

I had a problem with mine where the ground was not making a good contact. Pulled off the jack, scratched the paint up a bit and it worked perfectly!

The power jack was replaced under warranty. Dealer has replaced a few bad ones already.....only thing I am unhappy about is the aluminum rim corrosion on 3 of them and Jayco would not replace them under warranty.....geez Jayco....really? It is only a year and a half old...it has only seen maybe a dozen short trips...

They replaced the original Lippert jack with a heavy duty 3500 lbs Atwood power jack. I like he Atwood much better, it operates fast and smooth.
