Pull out

So I have a Jayco 2017 DSRL and I purchased some stands that goes under the gears of the pullout. It suppose to reduce the bounce, question I have will these stands hurt the gears of the pullout??

They are not recommended by "any" slide manufacturer. Had slide outs since they first came out and never needed any support under them.

I bought a set when I got my first camper thinking it was the right thing to do. After doing some post purchase research I returned them. Haven't found a whole lot of info supporting their use but there is tons out there suggesting use can actually harm the slide.

We don't use them on our 27DSRL and have never needed them. Our dealer highly discourages it because of potential damage.

The issue with the slide out supports is if the trailer "settles" some while parked, it could cause damage to the slide if the supports don't "settle" the same as the rest of the rig.

The slides are designed and built to not need any support. Only thing you may consider is when leveling the tt at a site, is to set up the slide side maybe 1/2" high, so when the rig settles, you are darn near perfectly level. At least it seems our 32 likes to settle about 1/2" within the first day or so.

I would never use them. As stated they are not recommended by any manufacturers.
