Retrofit Baja package on to my Jay Flight Swift 198RD?

Hi all! New here but we've had our 2013 Jay Flight Swift 198RD for a few years now and absolutely love the layout and size. Our TV is a kitted up Ford Raptor that can go anywhere, and we'd love to have more flexibility to take the TT more places. We've been looking a the newer models with the Baja package options, but none of the layouts are what we want. Is it possible to retrofit the Baja suspension/frame/wheels/whatever on to our trailer?

My apologies if this is answered somewhere, but I did a few searches and didn't find anything. If it's here and I just didn't find it, please shoot me a link. Thanks!

I am not familiar with that model but I raised my old Trailmanor by adding 3 inch tall shims between the shackle bolts and the axel. I have also see some models where the axel is above the springs and are "flipped" to attach the axel to the bottom of the springs.

Post a picture of your axel/spring setup. Someone may have done a lift on a model setup similar to yours.

If you do raise your trailer don't forget to adjust your hitch ball height.

you can install the dexter axle flip kit that will lift the rv by about 4 inches, then buy bigger tires and rims, that will make it almost like a Baja, the only thing missing would be the bigger fresh water tank, and the 2 step stairs.

Great suggestions - thank you! I'm completely new to these major modifications to the rig itself (added solar and an inverter outlet), so I'll definitely have to do a little research but this puts me on the right track.

On mine I did the axle flip kit, took about 2 hours with basic tools, but you can always have it done at a trailer shop

I built a small wooden step to help the kiddo get up into the RV, and bought bigger tires but kept the same 13 inch rims.

Just a note to add that we already have huge tanks, so we're really looking to get some more clearance, traction and protection for the underbelly with this mod. Sounds like there are at least a few options that are easy enough to pull off.

I'm not sure if it helps you, but here is a picture of the underside of a Baja. The camper is a bigger JayFlight but it still gives you an idea of whats under there
