She’s FINALLY Home!
After six months of waiting, we finally brought our trailer home (a week ago, but we’ve been out of town since)! The driveway proved to be more of a challenge than I thought (it’s tight), but that will get better over time as I figure out how the TT handles, where my turning points are, etc.
We did experience some porpoising (sp?) on the ride home, but my guess is it’s because we were running empty. The hitch (Reese Dual-Cam) made all kinds of noise which made DW nervous, but thanks to the information I’ve read here I knew that was to be expected. A bit of lubrication on the pivot points and getting rid of a couple of burrs on the bars will make a big difference too.
I now have a TON of manuals to go through so I can understand how things work – the dealer walk through was good, but also a lot of information to try and absorb at one time. Planning to “driveway camp” this weekend to make sure again that everything is working properly, and then heading out on our first “official” trip the following weekend – can’t wait!
