Shoe storage

I'm looking for some good shoe storage ideas. Our 18 S-RB has some very nice overhead cabinets / storage but nothing down low. I'm looking for a way of keeping them out of the floor so I don't step on them. I'm not really interested in keeping them outside in the elements. I've entertained the idea of cutting out a rectangular opening under our bed and making an access door for this opening. Thanks for any ideas on this matter!
Happy travels!

I saw someone on this forum, don't remember where. They had taken those over the door hanger shoe totes. They then cut them in single lines and attached under the edge of the bed just under the mattress attached somehow to the frame of the bed. I'm sure that someone out there knows where those pictures are at.

Check out the area under your slide out. I removed a few screws and the decorative panel behind the jsofa skirting, rearranged a few wires and added a few zip ties to pull the utilities back. Now our shoes are kept there.

I put all shoes in a covered tote and leave just under the trailer outside near the door. Everyone is only allowed one set of shoes inside (usually their runners).

We use this holder the PO had installed (bottom one) for our shoes.

The wife got this from Amazon:

Honey-Can-Do 10-Pocket Hanging Shoe Organizer

Link: http://amzn.com/B001F51AF8

It hangs from the closet rod. Of course, it assumes you have room in the closet.

Thanks for the shoe storage suggestions! I bought an over the door hanger which has 6 hooks and attached it to the side of the frame work of our bed. It holds 3 pairs of shoes perfectly. They're off the floor and out of the way now when I sweep the floor and move about inside the TT!
