Sink faucet sprung a leak on me

Was surprised on my last outing to find out that the spout on my kitchen sink on my X213 had a pinhole leak start right in the middle of the vertical part of the spout. I removed the water flow limited in the end and wrapped the spout with some good 'ole duct tape to make it through the trip.
I have since removed the stock faucet/spout setup - which wasn't that easy. You have to get up under the sink and remove the back of the cabinet and reach way up there to get to the plastic nuts that hold it in place. The water filter they had on the cold side was also quite a pain to deal with.
Fortunately I found out that the spacing on the faucets is identical to a normal home systems and just picked up a stainless steel setup at the local Home Depot and will be installing that here soon.
What a pain though - seems to always be something breaking - but I guess it could be worse - at least this is one I can do myself.

We had the same problem on our new Eagle HT. Good thing for the warranty. Seems like they need to get a new faucet design or company.

I can image how difficult it was to make the change. I would be concerned about damaging the cabinet frame trying to crawl in to see what I was doing and to get a better angle. Then not like at home there is no nice flexible braded connection between the fixed house pipe and the faucet, just adding to the challenge.

Glad that you got it fixed.
