Question Something odd......

So, I'm camping with my youngest son at Crater of Diamonds RV Park. I'm preparing dinner and he is tuning the tv/adjusting the tv antenna. He gets to a decent channel and starts watching the program. I go over to the table and push the button on the light above the table to turn it on. The tv freezes. I turned off the light and the tv resumes playing. I do this a few more times...well....I wanted too.
Anyone have this happen to them in a Whitehawk or TT in general? What did you find out to be the issue? Never had this happen before.

Was the light you turned on an LED? The circuits used in some LED lights apparently can interfere with TV signals. Google search and you can find out more information. If it worked before and is a new problem the LED driver might be failing.

Good luck, let folks know what you find out.

Factory installed or did you convert the fixture? If original it may be failing. If converted, you might have to try a different bulb in that fixture and see if it improves things.

I have a RF noise suppressor on mine. I just took a picture of it today while in there on another project.

It was a replacement last year. Trying to get a "brighter" LED for the dinner table. White domed light fixture with two LED's.

I have the same issue with my factory LED lights but only with the one just above the TV and only when using the OTA antenna...

The technical name for it is RFI (Radio Frequency Interference). The fix was posted by Norty1.

A barrel magnet will work as well just put it on the power line going into the light. You can get a 10 pack from Amazon for cheap.. My LED reading lights used to blank out TV's in a 150' radius till I attached them.
