Stupid Question

We have a 2015 Whitehawk 24RKS due to be delivered soon. From the limited number of pictures I've found online, it looks like it has the frameless windows. The stupid question is.... these windows do open up, right? How do they open, are they hinged at the top? I just can't picture how they work!

Also, I read on here that the 2015 models are coming with LED lights inside. Hope so! Also it looks like they changed the flooring from the tile look to more of a "hardwood look". Can anyone confirm these changes?

Thanks!
Rick

Lots of views.... I guess no one has got their 2015 yet! New trailers are now showing up at my local dealer, hopefully ours will be here soon.

Or else my questions really were too stupid to answer! LOL

I can tell you the frameless windows on our 5th wheel open, they tilt out from the bottom.

Some of mine open up/ down like traditional window, and some have lower crank and tilt out, then 2 emergency exit style that flap out

We too are waiting for a 2015 WH to come in. From what the dealer has told us and some pictures DW found online, the flooring is now "hardwood" and lights are LED. Not sure about the windows, but I can't imagine them not opening

Thanks for the replies! I figured the windows HAD to open, just wasn't sure which way. I found another dealer online that had a picture of the window sticker that indicated that they have gone to LED lighting. Can't wait to get the trailer!

My 2014 White Hawk has the frameless windows and the LED lighting. Both very nice! The widows are all a little different based on the size but they all swing open from a hinge either on top of or in the middle of the window. They only tilt out a few inches at the bottom, but it's nice you can leave them open in the rain (which I've done already) and the water won't run in.

If you look closely when the window is open, you will see a little piece of plastic between the ends of the arms that push the window out. I've read that you can remove that little plastic strip and you can open the window quite a bit further. I don't really see the need for them to open further, and I don't know if the hinge system would be happy if opened further. Thought about trying it on one of mine, but don't want to risk possibly damaging anything. Maybe when it's not quite so new...

I'll have to give that a try!

Am picking up my 2015 Whitehawk 24FKS on Tuesday, June 3rd. To answer some of your questions, lights are LED, floor is still Linoleum but rather than the tile look of the 2014 they changed it to look like a wood plank floor. Windows do tilt out. The rear area of the trailer (kitchen) has a skylight which really helps with lighting. The big question on my mind is the Schwintek slide. Mixed reviews but am hoping for the best. Many people on this site have indicated they have them with no problems. The dinette seat folds so that it can be used facing the couch. Half the seat folds up to create a back rest. Only seen it, have not tried it. Think you can creep over the couch when slide is closed to access the bathroom. Good luck and Happy Trailering.

Sorry I haven't followed up this post until now.
We took or new 24RKS on it's maiden voyage last weekend. Went to a local camp ground. Everything works as designed. LED lights are nice, skylight in kitchen and bathroom are great. Windows don't open very far, flooring looks nice but appears to scratch easily (beware of small stones, gravel, etc.). Not sure what it is made of, but has a plank like appearance.

Overall we are very satisfied with this unit. With a little care it should last us for a while!

I just purchased a 27DSRL White Hawk. It has the LED lights throughout. I was happily surprised to find that out.

Our 2014 28DSBH has the frameless windows and the LED lighting as well. Didn't really think about opening the windows any further than they do already.
