Tire Pressure Confusion

Bought a Jayco 221 about 3 months ago and have gotten different input on the tire pressure.

The tire says 65 PSI (and I read that is usually listed as max tire pressure)
The white label on the TT says 65 PSI
The guy that demonstrated the TT said 50
A service advisor at the dealership said 55

What TP do you run in similar sized TT? Thanks

Load range of the tire is based on max pressure written on the tire. RV's are always close on tire rating to actual load on the tires, they don't waste any money in that department. If the TT sticker and the tires say 65psi, that's important and correct.

That's why they have a bad rep. It's better to say "I don't know" than to give bad info.

If you follow what the Tire Manufacturers say, weight it and then set the pressure according to the weight you are carrying. 7

Thanks for the responses! Using the recommended (labeled) TP makes sense. It threw me when the "experts" were giving me other input. I thought it had to do with reducing sway or providing a better ride (in case I have to put my wife in the TT when driving .

Maximum cold pressure listed on the tire sidewall is how I always roll. If one understands the tire is the weak link in the weight bearing equation and the industry seems to hang the minimum capacity running gear including tires to get the trailer down the road, why de-rate the tire's load capacity by running less than the maximum cold inflation pressure?
