tow vehicle mirrors

We just bought a x213 and will be towing with a 2003 dodge ram. Will mirror extensions be necessary?

Can you adjust the mirrors so you can see the back corners of the RV? if not you need extensions.. both for safety and to be legal

The standard mirrors for a 7 ft. wide unit it is OK for a 8 ft. wide unit not.
It is illegal if you can't see beside the left and right hand side of the vehicle your are pulling. They certainly will help you when backing up in a campsite.

I can't speak to the legality of it all but I have a 29qbs and had cipa slide on extensions, after my first trip I upgraded to kool vue telescoping mirrors. I strongly recommend you spend the couple hundred dif and skip the first step. Awesome mirrors!!

I have the sport mirrors on my 04 Ram and have clip on mirror extensions when towing my x213 It covers some blind spots when backing. I will eventually replace the sport mirrors with towing mirrors.

X2
I also had the clip on's and went to the cool vue. They fold in for normal use and fold out for the extended view. At least for the Dodge Rams. Makes all the difference in the world. I put them on myself so saved on the labor. Fairly simple to do. Good videos online to show you how.
