TV Tuner

I recently installed an older Panasonic 19" TV in my new Jayco 175RD for over the air (OTA) use only. I find it pixelates a lot, even with the antenna amplifier turned on. The TV is about 10 to 12 years old and has, I believe, a digital tuner as it has a great HD picture when the signal strength is good.

My question is, do the newer TVs have better tuners for OTA, HD broadcasts?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

A lot will depend on how far you are from the TV stations tower. Trees also will mess with the new digital signals.

Any TV manufactured after 2007, iirc, is required to have an ATSC tuner built in. That is the tuner needed for OTA digital signals.
