Uneven tire wear

We are replacing tires with less than 5000 miles on them. The inside ridge of both tires wears smooth and twice has worn to the wires. Anyone else had this problem?

I believe the uneven/poor tire wear is the result of: bent axle or axle carrying too much weight.
We have a 2010 JayFeather Sport 165.

It seems the problem is me not keeping enough air in tires. Axle is ok. Air is cheaper than axles.

Inflation is important, but with only 5,000 miles on them you might want to have your alignment shop check out the camber of the wheel as well. If it's got some positive camber dialed in, that'll eat up tires in a hurry.

I had a trailer that was wearing out tires. I took the trailer to a truck alignment shop. There was no adjustment on the axle so they had to heat the axle to alignment.

Inside tire wear would be more than likely caused by too much negative camber or inward tilt of the wheel. You might be able to check it by putting a level on the wheel. A digital level would be best to use. Zero degrees straight up would be ideal.

Oops, I meant negative camber! Don't you hate it when you get your cambers crossed?
