White Hawk 28DSBH Bunk Heights?

Hey everyone. I have a strange request. We are interested in a WH 28DSBH, but are unable to see one locally. We have seen other new White Hawks.

Is it possible for a current owner of one of these (2013, 2014) to measure the height of each bunk bed? We looked at a 2015 25BHS and the bunks didn't leave alot of room between the bottom and top, and top and ceiling.

Thanks in advance!
Derek

Just measured in our 2014 28DSBH. Measurements are the top of the bunk frame, or from the top of the bunk frame. Mattresses are about 4" with no one them

Floor to top of bottom bunk frame: 17"

Top of bottom bunk frame to top bunk 34.5"

Top bunk frame to ceiling: 29"

Bunk heights

Hi all. We are apparently trying to figure out the same thing as dmward....debating between the 2015 White Hawk 28dsbh, 2015 White Hawk 25bhs, and 2015 Flight 287bhsw. We heard that the bunks in the 2015 25bhs are not high because they had to make room underneath for the outdoor kitchen (that's a waste if you ask me! Rather have beds that real people can fit in without feeling like a coffin!). A previous responder gave heights for 2014 bunks in the WH28dsbh, but can anyone give bunk heights for a WH 25bhs or Flight 287bhsw? Thanks! Any other suggestions when deciding brown these?

I cant give heights cuz out rig is in storage, but I will say we were set on the 25 BHS until we saw it is person and that bottom bunk is horrible.....even though it would be for my kids, it is still sooooooo low. Ended up with the 28dsbh.

We purchased a 2015 28DSBH, picking up this weekend! We are all so excited! Do the bunks have power outlet, light and shelf? I missed that when looking at it! Ours has the Summit package.

Our 2014 has an outlet right outside the bunks, near the floor.

No shelves. Yes to lights.

To share the experience of living with the 25BHS. Every trip we use the outdoor kitchen cooktop and BBQ for breakfast and dinner (by doing so, significantly reduce moisture inside the TT). On occasion when DH has crazy-leg I have slept in the lower-bunk - even at my age (recently retired), it is easy to get into and once I fall asleep I'd never know I'm in a bunk with low headroom ... it is even ok as I read my kindle! Why did we go with a 25'? Easy - in California there are lots of campground length-size limitations and we're able to easily get into them whereas we couldn't if our TT were just a few feet longer. If we had it to do over again ... we'd make the exact decision ~ and we like the 2015 floor plan better than the 2016. Off to Yosemite (and a size-restricted space) in a few weeks!!
