White Hawk outside shower head is awful
We have a 2015 White Hawk 21FBS and love it. We camped about 8 times this year and loved every minute of it. One of the things we don't like about the camper is the outside shower - it just basically sucks. We'd like to replace the shower head but not the entire assembly. Has anyone done that and if so, what replacement shower head to you buy? Thanks in advance!

I haven't tried one of these yet, but they get pretty good reviews on Amazon.
I plan on picking one up over the winter. It looks like it comes with a hose, but I'll bet the head should attach to any standard existing hose.

I had an Oxygenic shower head in my previous MH that had a 6 gallon hot water tank. It worked well. My new MH has a tankless water heater and I've read somewhere on this or another forum that water saver shower heads and tankless water heaters do not work well together. If you have the tankless water heater, check out the search feature to find out if it is compatible.

Take off the white plastic shower head... put on an MPT to 3/4 adapter... then a ball valve shut off... the a quick disconnect.
You can now add additional hose length of you want to... swap nozzle styles... whatever you choose.
The ball valve will keep water from draining out of the hose when you turn it off when the nozzle isn't on.
I did this mod and LOVE IT!!!

I'm not Jeff but here is a pic. Get the fitting at Lowes as pictured.

Check where the hose connects to the valve. It could have some debris stuck in the screen. Any of the faucets could have debris stuck in them so it's worth a look.
Good luck

Aaahhhh.... I thought that you were replacing the hose, too! That's what confused me. Thank you!

My setup is identical to Norty but instead of the backflow valve - I used a ball valve... and added a Gilmour brand quick disconnect.

I put a longer hose and Oxygenics head on my unit. With the longer hose we can wash the dog easier. The hose will accept any shower head you put on it from a thread perspective FYI.

The outside shower head on my 24RKS was horrible. It had a lever on the back to stop the flow. I took the head apart and removed the internal valve (small white piece). It doubled the output, but still was not the greatest.

Personally have never used the outside shower and consider it a waste and something I have to remember to winterize even if I don't use it. Washing the dog maybe but never had to use it that way. I remove the hose at the H/C fixture and stow it away. The idea of maybe turning it into an aux hose connection is a good one. Looks like for a few bucks you can rig something up to get hot and cold water thru a water hose for whatever and allow you to get far enough away from the TT so as not to make a muddy mess next to the unit. Hmm! Wash the truck with warm water?? Not allowed in most CGs but a quick rinse???
In the end not worth spending a bunch of $$'s on.

The backflow valve is to prevent water from standing in the hose. You just have to remember to let it drain before you stow it.

I also like to use the hot water to help clean grills, etc.
