cm11559ps, I will also take another look at the 28dsbh, but its dry hitch weight is 590 lbs versus the 29sqb of 540 lbs.

Bigbird, some of the F-150 Platinum's have a little less payload than my Lariat.

I have no probs towing my trailer with my setup. Truck and trailer loaded i barely notice it on the hwy and I feel safe and comfortable with this setup. I think my payload was 1500 lbs for my truck 750 lbs per axle. Best thing to do is as mentioned above is go to a scale with your truck loaded. Your truck can tow the trailer no problem you may just want to balance the wood out between your trailer and truck....lol... or load your truck light and put your weight in your trailer and let the truck tow it. Anyhow I hope it works out for you. Also we went with the 28DSBH because of the 3 foot slide ( it opens up the trailer ) and the double bunks.

The best thing that you can do to increase your confidence on your future TT purchase is take your TV under loaded conditions (simulate going camping) to your local CAT scale, as mentioned by others.

(Your 2012 Ford F-150's GVWR) - (CAT Scale Gross weight) = Remaining weight available for "loaded" tongue weight and any passenger/cargo/WDH weight not accounted for in TV

Great information to know when shopping for a TT.
