For those that have the Glacier Package, is there is sticker or something visible that clearly shows that it has it? Typically the makers will proudly show it near the door, but none of the White Hawks at my dealer had the Glacier Package.

Thanks jdorant.

The sticker says Glacier Package in blue with mountains above the text right? The reason I was asking is that quite a few online photos of White Hawks at dealerships list them as coming with the Glacier Package, but there is no sticker from the photos of the coach.

Being that insulation is a relatively hidden feature, I'm just curious if it's a hit or miss whether you get a sticker or not.

Maybe others can confirm if their Glacier equipped coaches has the sticker. I did choose that option on ours.

Peter,

There is a sticker on the bottom left of the camper as you are walking into the main camper door.

Also, make the dealer give you a copy of the "Build Sheet", if it has the glacier package option it will be listed on the Build Sheet. The Build Sheet comes from the factory and lists all of the options that have been included in that particular camper. My local dealer had a 28DSBH that had the Glacier Package sticker on it, but when I looked at the Build Sheet I did not see it listed and questioned my sales rep. My local dealer called the Jayco Factory and they looked through all of their paperwork........Long story short, Jayco told my local dealer to remove the sticker because if it's not listed on the Build Sheet it was not installed in the camper. Just my 2 cents.

I wanted the Glacier Package as well, so I had to order my unit.

Gary

Since you really can't tell if they added the extra insulation, I was wondering myself how to tell if its really there. Both mine and my brothers TT were ordered with the glacier and both do have stickers saying they have it. I should check the ship weight of the 28dsbh at the dealer that does not have it in comparison to my ship weight which does. I would like to assume mine should weigh more???

I can't imagine the total weight of Astrofoil is much. Other options here and there will likely negate any real difference in weight of the Glacier Package. I realize we're starting to creep into this thread's territory. http://www.jaycoowners.com/showthrea...SBH-White-Hawk

Gary,

Thanks for letting me know regarding the stickers and the Build Sheet. Will be sure to check for those during the PDI.

I ordered mine with the Glacier Package, I have the build sheet and it is listed on there but I do not have a sticker any where on the TT.

Thanks
Gary

I'm surprised that there may be some inconsistencies in the labeling on White Hawks. If you look at other makers, they prominently display their Arctic/Polar/Glacier, etc. packages next to the door. For some buyers it may be the key feature in the decision to purchase.

I hope Jayco becomes aware of it and makes the labeling consistent regardless.

The Whitehawk we just picked up had the same sticker to the left of the main door, and it also showed up on the build sheet provided. (The sheet showed ALL the options we'd ordered.) We hope this Glacier Package will help the trailer cool down/stay cooler in our TX heat; and even help out should we venture into very cool climes!

please keep me informed

I have a 2012 white hawk 27dsrl. Was told the r values where r22 roof, r14 floor, r9 walls. Main problem was jayco brochure displayed great insulation, but failed to put any r values. Also live in Texas, this whitehawk I bought does not even come close to keeping up with heat or cold. Always a 10-15 degree difference between bath, bedroom and living area. AC never shuts off. doesn't keep up. Found out after purchase actual r values where a pathetic r8 ceiling, r5 walls, r7 floor. That is basically no insulation at all. I have contacted Jayco after finding out this complete deception for an answer to bring the r values anywhere near promised. Still waiting for response. It sucks that for a measly 160 bucks I could have had an insulated trailer as I was told I was getting. Needless to say I am not a happy camper.

Too Heavy?

Not sure why you think your F150 will not pull it. We pull a 32RL with a 2017 Nissan Titan, with no issues. Maybe we are close to our limits, but, not over, and no issues so far

Ummm,

Spaceguy, this thread is over 7 years old. Some of these members on this thread haven't posted in several months and some, several years.
