2016 International Rally

I just received my notification for the International Jayco Rally to be held this year in Lebanon, Tn., July 18-22, 2016.

It will be at the James E. Ward Agri Center.

We are going to try and re-arrange our schedule to attend.
Wondering if anyone else is already considering it?

If so, Check with Jayco Travel Club by calling 1-800-262-5178 or 574-258-0571 and ask for
Jackie.

We are certainly considering going to the Rally. Have been to the last five or six and have enjoyed the experience. Renewed old acquaintances, saw some country not visited before, and enjoyed the activities. Good times.

That's where the majority of the membership lives so it was hard to get people to drive long distances when gas prices were high. That could change in the future if gas stays down, who knows?

Talkiing about the JAYCO JAYFARI Membership, the highest concentration of FLIGHTS(local clubs) are in the Midwest or East Coast. I think that it would make the Club Managers estatic if every member here joined.

Does anyone know what electrical service is available at the rally site (30 or 50 amp)? I am not sure DW will agree to go if we can't use both air conditioners.

Best to contact the event sponsors. Some rallies do have limited 50a for first come first serve, others not. I am sure more info will be forthcoming.

So I looked at the web site and find nothing on advantages to belong. Lots more info right here.

Info yes, personal friendships not as much.

The camaraderie that comes from the local rallies and the same for the International is amazing. Our kids have been to Rallies (in their own units) with kids that they met at the Rallies 25 30 years ago. Unfortunately sports and other school activities now encompass 13 out of 12 months so families no longer do the week long Rallies as they did in the 70's and 80's so the club is now more of the "older generation" unfortunately.

We have made hundreds of friends from across the country with the STARCRAFT Club. We've been members there since 1973 and we also belong to JAYCO, but since the Rallies (JAYCO/STARCRAFT or vice-versa)use to be back to back we've only attended a couple.

We probably would not have traveled to as many states and provinces as we have, had it not been for the Rallies. Starcraft's Club started in 1968, JAYCO's started many years later.

Our yearly $25-$35 membership fee is/was, we felt, well spent

We have been to several international rallies in another SOB club and also some regional rallies. They are fun and informative.
It's nice to meet people with things in common. We likely also would never have eaten "throwed rolls" or visited some the places we have seen if not going to a rally.

I just signed up for the rally. There are only five signed up so far. Hope lots more sign up or it will be cancelled. They need at least 50 units as a minimum number.

Hmmm... "Only five signed up so far." I think I was somewhat aware there was a rally for Jayco owners but I was never certain. Perhaps others are equally uninformed and that may be the reason why there does not seem to be overwhelming interest.

Tennessee is doable this summer but what about details? Do I have to belong to some organization or group to be advised and encouraged to participate? Who runs the show anyway and what might be thorough contact points or a web page that makes scheduling possible?

We bought our new Jayco in November, have not received an email regarding anything to do with Jayco, Camping Word, Good Sam, ANYTHING, since then. I know they took our email address, maybe someone dropped the ball, maybe I'm supposed to know these things by osmosis...Kind of disappointing, as community is FUN!

Once they get you in the system you may regard no contact as a blessing in disguise. LOL

You can register with GOOD SAM and get on their email list. The Jayco travel club and your free year of road service will catch up with you but you can call or email and get it started if you want.

We're still waiting for some information on the Rally, so far nothing in the mail, and no emails about it. There is very little information on the Rally web page, and no detailed information about the campground... would love to know how many sites, which have water, 30/50 amp, sewer connections, etc.

I wasn't even able to find a campground map showing the site numbers, locations, etc.

Anybody have any more information?

Thanks.

No sewer, from the FG web site:

Campgrounds

CAMPING $20.00 PER DAY YEAR ROUND
Up to 1,000 campers, electricity, water, 4 dump stations.

Club newsletter said all 30/50 amp. As of April there were only 30 signed up.

I sent them an email back in Jan. when we were making plans for this year. No response and our plans have been made. To late to make changes without costing us money.

Maybe another year.
