The STARCRAFT Rally is being held at the same location (Tom Johnson, Marion, NC) as the JAYCO Rally only earlier on July 8th to the 12th. Both these rallies are managed by the same company, RCMI(Recreational Club Management Inc), out of Mishawaka, IN. We currently belong to both clubs, but are more active with STARCRAFT since we have been members since 1973.

A little history.

Prior to the recession 2003/04 JAYCO and STARCRAFT gave some financial sponsorship to their respective clubs, well that is currently not the case. Once that sponsorship stopped it was decided than the owner of any brand RV could join either club and that is currently more prevalent with the STARCRAFT group. One thing that occurred shortly after the acquisition of STARCRAFT by the Bontrager family in 1992, was STARCRAFT owners were allowed to purchase JAYCO motorized units since STARCRAFT was not making any and in exchange JAYCO members who wanted pick-up campers could buy the ones made by STARCRAFT.

There are some similarities as well as differences in how the rallies function. Basic activities (entertainment, meals etc) are the same, but daily activites do vary. Also if you attend a JAYCO Rally they use hobo parking whereas STACRAFT units are parked by states (if your mailing address if different than your home state you can ask to be parked with that group if you so desire.

So if you want to give "Club Camping" a try you have a choice of dates if one works better for you than the other.

Here is the link for both Rally Applications if you are interested. You could even go to both, we've done that as well.
