Did you put the capacitor wire with the Piggyback connector with the red wire? I read that it should be that way, however, I don't know if that is true, but it is what I did. If you didn't, I'd try swapping it as a last ditch effort.

Yes, 50/50 chance, but that is how I had it connected. Seemed logical as there were fewer connections on that side of the run capacitor. I don't think it is a polarized capacitor though, or else they would (or should) clearly mark plus and minus.

Sitting in Glacier right now. I fired up the generator to give is a few minutes of cool air after coming back from a 5 mile hike. The generator went into overload. Tried again, same thing. But then I happened to think that a capacitor may need to charge before being thrust into service. So I fired the generator back up, let it run for 5 to 10 minutes and gave it another try.

Success!! I ran it for about 15 minutes until generator hours ended.

Something good to keep in mind for anyone that has issues. Make sure you allow your capacitor time to "charge up" before accepting defeat.
