16XRB Sub Woofer

My 16XRB has a blank panel above the stereo that was looking for a function. Too small really for storage. Amazon had deal of the day on a 6 inch dual-coil sub woofer ($13) that measured just right and since I don't have outside speakers, there were connections just begging to be hooked up. I'm really pleased with the enhanced sound for such a small investment.

What did you use for an amplifier?

"Rear" speakers out from the stereo. Drives it surprisingly well. Got a cover for it since that picture was taken.

Welcome to the forum, BTW!

Watch the phasing. I had to reverse what I thought was +/- for it to sound right. We were out last weekend and it really does fill in the low end gap.

Does it cause disc shake when you play CD's and DVD's?
