Aerospace 303 Protectant Q's

The 303 Protectant gets really high marks from lots of you good folks. I plan to get some (very local RV shop has it in stock) soon. I understand the value of applying to the tires, slider seals, gaskets and roof for UV protection.
I read some of you use it like a wax on the sides. Makes sense that it will protect the sides, decals and plastic trim as well.

So, with respect to the sides and plastic trim...
1) can you see it once applied (visible coating or color)?
2) does it stand up to washing (I like to use automotive soap)?
3) do you also wax before or after the 303 application?
4) do the dead bugs come off easier (like with a wax)?
5) when reapplying (2x / year?) do you wash with something special to remove the prior applications?

Is the JOF a great site or what! I love this community and its collective knowledge probably encompases everything known by humankind.

This is a great product and only recently learned of it though this forum. Thank you. IMHO I would say it is not going to hold up as well as a wax/polish due to the makeup of this product. It does however work well on vinyl trim, tires and rubber boots around the slides. I put NUFinish on my entire unit and it's still shinning bright. Bugs come off fairly well and it has a slick feel to it. While the 303 has a UV inhibitor in it I think that you will find the term of protection might be less than a few weeks where the wax seems to hold up longer. I wash mine before and on most occasions after a trip and the wax holds up well under those conditions. My decals are still glossy after 1.5 years of outside exposure and 3 waxings. 303 would most definitely need to be reapplied every few weeks and certainly after a wash.

I do the front cap 3 times are year to keep it really slick. The paste is better than the bottle liquid too. More slick and thicker with the application.

As for the 303 after a few rains my trim on my truck starts to loose it's luster but not as fast as all the other products I had on it. I would say I get an additional 2 weeks longer out of this then some of the best detail products out there. It comes out creamy white like armor all and will appear wet. It looks wet once applied and will bead should there be a wax or polish freshly applied.

IMHO I would use it on almost everything you can't wax but want to keep uv protected. I use it on the skylight bubble for the bathroom several times a year now to keep it from yellowing. It will also streak after rain washes it off down the sides of whatever you applied it to.
