Awning Drip Help

I have a White Hawk 26SRK with a Colorado power awning. When the awning is extended and its raining, there is a constant drip of water coming from the rail the awning slides into, toward the middle of the awning. Apparently, the water is seeping around the awning vinyl, in that channel, and dripping down very close to the side of the camper. Obviously that's irritating as the purpose of the awning is to keep the stuff under it, dry.

I thought about running a small bead of silicone across the entire top of the awning where it attaches to that channel, but noticed the awning actually has to pivot slightly in the channel as it is opened and closed. There doesn't appear to be anything different in that drip spot than anywhere else along the entire rail to cause it to drip right there.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 29bhs and a manual awning and get the same drip but only on heavy rains. I have a seam in the gutter channel that the awning is in. Just tried caulking it this weekend so ill hose test it tomorrow and let you know!

You could just add it to the list that you give the dealer to fix under warranty. My father-in-law had the same problem on the last two trailers he owned. It really frustrated him. Oddly enough the ground floor apartment he was in had the same problem on a outside canopy. I told him someone had put a curse on him and this problem followed him around.

It could be coming in through the stitching. Get a small block of bees wax and rub it along the threads along the rail.

Have the same issue, was thinking about replacing with a m72 drip awning track.
