condensation leak from ac

Yes i was just wandering if anyone else had this problem. We went camping last weekend and it was terribly hot out with super high humidity, got to site to set up and inside camper was hot.I set it up and turned on ac and went out side to finish up.Came back in 30 min later and water was dripping from ac cover on floor,i thought water was backing up and coming in so i removed cover and it was the aluminum housing sweating like crazy. It eventually stopped after i soaked up two towels. It is draining off back rear corner and it is on 23b jayco roof mount ac Thanks

I was in Destin,Fla a couple weeks ago and I noticed if you closed any vent it would start to sweatt. My wife always closes the bathroom vent when she takes a shower, says it gets to cold for her, but she forgetts to oopen it back up. I had to wipe water off of floor a couple of times. It was hot and humid outside though, I really don't think there is anything you can do about that this time of year, expecially in the South.

The Carrier a/c unit in our pup drips (eventually) on the inside after running a while. The condensation still drains like it should from the outside (roof), but we get the same little 'drip' on the inside. It isn't much, we just put a dish towel on the counter where it falls. Our pup is ten years old and I don't feel the need to tear into the a/c unit to stop it. The Carrier manual says some bolts need to be adjusted to stop a drip of this kind, but I'm not motivated to try. Maybe in the fall when its time to park it for the winter.

I found the online manual that states-

"If the unit has water dripping inside...The basepan gasket has not been evenly compressed to about 60%.
The mounting bolts should be tightened evenly by compressing the basepan gasket to the 60% requirement."

We have a Carrier Air V unit (which has been discontinued as of 2009).
