debris under rubber roof membrane

I did a search on the forum but came up empty, so forgive me if there is something out there.

I washed my roof yesterday and discovered 3 places where there is something small under the membrane. I'm thinking a wood chip or a screw tip.... I don't know but something.

So what do you think I should do about it? I have my own ideas but I would like to hear from you.

Thanks,
Marty

If its new take it to the dealer. If it's not new, IOW it's your problem and not Jayco's problem, I would put eternabond tape over it and forget it. A potential hole in the roof is only a problem if you don't find it and deal with it before it becomes a leak. Also, even if it's new I would allow the dealer to tape it, but I would at the same time have all the seams covered.

Unless it is cutting, tearing, or poking through the membrane i would take a picture and monitor it. If it gets worse then you know it is probably a screw or staple. If it stays the same then leave it alone.

Similar sentiments. If it's new and in warranty, let the dealer document it.

If not, leave it alone and check it when you inspect the roof. It can be easily repaired if the object comes thru but till then, I would leave it alone.

I have several places on my roof that are the same.

Thanks for all your replies so far.

Yes my 28BHS is new and next time I am near my dealer I will stop in and have them look at it. For now I think I will take your advice Norty. I just need to remember when I go up there not to step on any of my spots.

Don't worry, you won't forget. In fact you may have a dream about them. LOL

Found 3 spots on my '04 yesterday. The little bumps were showing the black rubber core so I made 3 little Eternabond patches to avoid future leaks.
