No, I haven't used the "Hitch Formula" in the link you provided. I plug in different TT "loaded" weights considering different loading habits, and also use a TT's GVWR as a worst case scenario. On the heavier/longer TT's I always use a 13% to 15% loaded tongue weight range......., IMO anything less would compromise TV handling under less then ideal towing conditions.

I try to find related threads before starting new ones. This was as close as I could get. Old habit. Thought Equalizer would have shown up more frequently.

Our previous rv was a bumper pull and came with the Equalizer. Almost immediately we had the slippage. Talking to dealer they advised I loosen and realign. We had several trips where I would do this a few times each day. When I took it back to them they saidcthey could just spot weld each side. I did some research on my own and learned that there was a special set of brackets for my frame, since it was a lightweight and narrower. Pointed this out to dealer who ordered and installed the new brackets. Problem solved. Moral of the story is don't let a guy with a welder solve all of your problems and do your own research.
The trailer was Lance's first take on trailers and a very lightly made Lippert frame. At the time Lance said that you were NOT to drill anywhere in the frame. Period. Voids warranty.

So, they have agreed to install the 14K at no additional charge.
I will just have to keep an eye on the tongue weight when loaded and go from there. Not exactly sure how max trailer weights listed by Ram (17,500LBS) are achieved considering the 1050LB receiver restriction.

At least now you have something to work with.

Also, good move on the "E" rated tire upgrade on your 330RSTS. My 9,000lb GVWR Eagle came with "C" rated Maxxis tires back in the day, but I upgraded to E's a few years later.

I found the E's run a little cooler and the TT seemed to handle better......, definitely not as much side wall flex in turns! My TT loaded scaled at 8,500lbs and I felt the C's were on the light side......, even knowing the TV supports the tongue weight.
