Fantastic fan

We want to put a fantastic fan in the bedroom of our trailer. there is no fan there now, but is there power there to hook up a fan? If not where do we get power from. Trailer is an Eagle superlite 256RKS

Unless there's some specific reason (like you already have a Fantastic Fan installed or you don't have a vent there), I would suggest installing the fan in the bathroom. For these reasons:

1. Your bedroom will be quieter.
2. It makes a great exhaust fan for pulling moist air from your bathroom.
3. You most likely won't have to do any special wiring.

I like your location idea.

In addition to "powered fans", I recommend fan hoods as well. Some folks like Max-Air and other folks like Air-Mate (which is a clone of Max-Air design). If wondering, I recently installed an Air-Mate hood over our bathroom fan, opened its 14"x14" lid and with its fan turned OFF, there's enough natural air flow (heat rises up and out things) to keep our bathroom cooler, drier and better smelling.

Even without 12V "power", a simple 14"x14" vent with manual crank and rain protection hood cover works great. And, super quiet as well.... To me, this would be great for a bedroom as well. Especially if RV/TT has no AC ability...

We have a vent fan in our bathroom and I just put a maxx-air cover over it. I wanted to add a fantastic fan style in the bedroom to cool the trailer off in the evenings instead of the air conditioner or when we are away from power hookups. I have been looking at the new Maxx-air fan vent combos.

Is there power in the vent openings, or do I have to bring it over there from elsewhere?

They usually have 12 volts at each vent, if not it is easy to fish a power wire from a light close by.

When we bought our TT back in 2000, one of the first mods I made was installing Maxxair covers on the front and rear vents. The following year (September 2001), I replaced the Maxxair cover on the bathroom vent with a Turbo/Maxx fan. I purchased the model that had forward/reverse, variable speed and thermostat controlled. Reliable--- YES. We've never had a problem with it in the nine camping seasons it's been in use.

The design of both the Maxxair covers and Turbo/Maxx fax are such that we can leave our vents open no matter what the weather is outside. I even leave them open when traveling and when parked at the self-storage facility where we keep the TT when not in use.

The Turbo/Maxx fan has since been superseded with the Maxxfan. Here's the link to Maxxair's website for those who would like to learn more about their products.
