Furrion Smartlink

I have a Seismic 4212. The TV says that it has SmartLink. Of course, the manual doesn't mention anything about it, how it works or what I need to do. I am trying to get my DVD player to play on the outside TV. Does anyone know what to do here? Please don't say "get a new system". Furrion is what I have and I just need to stick with it for now. I just find it infuriating that there is ZERO info on the web about it, how it works, or how to set it up. Not on the Jayco site, the furrion site, and no one at my dealer knows. I can call Jayco tomorrow, but thought I would reach out here. Is this something that should have been done at Jayco or the dealer? Thanks in advance.

Good question regarding the 'SmartLink'. I thinks a fancy name for nothing special. I'll have my hands on my 'SmartLink' system in a few weeks. I'm not expecting anything spectacular. And you're right, there are no details in the Furrion literature or online that explains what the heck it is either.

Can't help you with playing the DVD outside. This is the place to ask.

I would put a DVD in the player and hit the start button. Then go into the tv menu and go through each input until what the DVD is playing shows up. It should be just like a home TV where you have to locate the right input or nothing happens.

I had trouble getting my TV to receive channels. DVD would play but could not switch to TV. Long and short of it, there is a button on the outlet switch plate that the TV plugs into. You have to press that button to switch between the two. Not sure if yours is same set up, but it drove me crazy until I called Jayco. We didn't receive any manual with ours either.

smartlink is just a communication via HDMI between the tv and stereo.

There is no way of getting the DVD to outside or any other tv without buying an rca to coax adapter and hooking it to the rca AV out of the Furrion DVD, and that might depend on the model of Furrion in the 4212. Then attach it to the Sat coax connection on the wall plate, then use a short jumper coax cable and attach the "main sat in" and "aux sat in" ports in your docking station (or where ever they are outside). Turn your outside tv , or any other tv to channel 3.
You wouldn't be able to use any satellite while doing this.

Rca to coax clicky here. Amazon.com: RCA Compact RF Modulator (CRF907R): Electronics
