Help on Battery Monitors, Auto-Start-Gens, EMS, Surge Protection, etc.

First time MH to-be-owner. At first I thought an EMS would manage all of the electric/power systems, but it seems that it 'just' protects the power system (very important, I know. A battery monitor tells you the status of your battery bank. Is there anything that will tell you the status of the batteries, inverter, generator auto start, and anything else needed to run a MH? We should get our Greyhawk 31DS 2015 next month. My DH and I have dry camped for 2 weeks or so in a 5W. Most of our time is spent in the eastern US which has a lot of shade, so we don't think solar would be usable. Thanks in advance.

I know my inverter/charger has a an auto-start option for the generator. That isn't much but about all I have to contribute on that subject. I'm in a TT and my generator is on a cargo carrier on the rear hitch and unfortunately is NOT integrated that way. The battery monitor I ended up choosing is a Bogart Engineering Tri-Metric. Here you also have options that may integrate with your inverter/charger. I know the manufacturer of my inverter/charger (Magnum Energy) has a battery monitor but I chose to go with the Tri-Metric.
