Jammed Door lock

So the bride and I are getting ready for a short outing a month or so ago and the TT is in the driveway. We've been out running a few errands before pulling out and, as is our habit, locked the door before leaving. The bride goes to unlock and uses the wrong key. The keys for the bunk end locks and the door look the same - but guess what, THEY AREN"T!
The key turns about 45 deg and jams. I pushed, pulled, tapped, lubed, begged, cursed and threatened for about 30 min before deciding that deal was done. Now what? We're locked out of the TT! Fortunately it was a hot day in Houston and we left the windows open (yeah yeah, but we locked the door). Using a ladder I was able to squirm through the emerg exit window (hind sight, I could have opened one of the bunks and climbed in that way) and open the door from the inside.
I removed the lock from the door and took it as far apart as I was able but no luck with getting the key out. I couldn't even get the lock body out of the handle. Grrrrr!
Off to the local RV parts place for a replacement door latch, 10 min to install and we finally got on the road.
These things are like boats or airplanes, there's always something needing to be tinkered with.

Its the same with us we have two doors but keys look the same but are not. So DW put red nail polish on front door keys so now we dont put wrong key on wrong door.

Way to go "OldB"! Sounds like the DW has a good head on her shoulder. Our keys are now different so hopelully we're over that hurdle.

Should have taken it too a locksmith before the trip to the dealer... they might have known a way to get the key out.. and if you take it to them it would not cost that much..
