Wifey received a call yesterday from Bauer indicating they could not fill my order. She did not ask why or did not understand why. I called them this morning and they said the key code stating with HF, as mine does, is not a Bauer key. My key has the black square plastic like all the others but it does not have the Bauer name on it. All Bauer keys have the Bauer name on it, as per Bauer. My key has FIC on it. It is a Fastec Industrial Company key.

Fastec wants 3.50 per key. Going to order 3 of them right now. The site is : http://www.fastecindustrial.com/products/default.html

Maybe the mods can make a sticky with the info of both manufacturers.

Got my new lock from Bauer and installed it. Now one key will open either door.
I am offering for sale, the Bauer lock I removed. I posted it in the parts for sale forum.

A local key shop was able to cut new keys for me. Their policy is that if they don't have the blank, they'll get it and keep it on hand irregardless if they sell only one key forever. Perhaps you can find a decent key shop in your area.

I found a key shop in Panama City, FL that had the blanks. I forget what they charged, but I had several made. I have a niece that visits when I'm hosting at the beach and she can not keep up with keys.

We had all the same issues when we picked up or TT. Both doors different, 751 locks on all compartments, and basically 3 different keys that were needed at all times.
I found the site below, ordered new locks and keys and in about an hour I re-keyed all my doors/compartments to the same key. Including replacing the rear door handle and lock as well as ordering keys with small led lights in them I spent less then $50.00 on the entire package.

Consider checking-out combo-cam locks (Amazon) - easy install and you set your own code. We're so glad we did this!

Our deadbolt key is a Global Link. I just ordered two pre-cut keys here.

Global Link Replacement Key

The keys were only $2.99 each but the USPS shipping was $9.95 for a total of $15.93.

I bought a set of replacements that have a small LED light in them. I think through rvlocksandmore.com. They were about $4.00 each.

I realize this is an old post but I just found it. Thanks for the link! Not only are multiple keys a pain, but knowing that every RV in the campground and storage lot has the same 751 cabinet locks isn't exactly comforting. I've just ordered the cams for the cabinets and replacement slam latches and now I will only have ONE key for all doors. What a blessing! Thanks again.

We only received one key on each door for the camper. We did not realize they are two different keys, only one for each door. I just ordered 2 spares for each door. I could not get a replacement locally, so when it doubt, search the forum - always a good answer! I order from RVlocksandmore.com. $3.25 each key and $9.95 to ship. We may order keyless lock later, or have both doors keyed the same. but for less than $25, problem solved for now.

On the 5th there were 3 different keys; door, basement slam hatches and the ever popular 751 on the battery box and front storage bay. I bought a new door lock and replacement locks for the 751 locks (2) to match the basement locks (4). IIRC, the cost was around the $50 mark. The door latch is better than original and a single key opens everything. Each new lock (3) came with 2 keys so I have plenty of spares.

The Jayco I just bought only came with one key, and there's no number on it! Guess I have to take apart the lock to find the #.

Hah, I tend to misplace keys!! We finally just replaced our door with a keypad (came also with 2 keys), and all the storage bays with combi-cam locks. Only need the #751 key for the outside shower (that we never use anyway). SO MUCH HAPPIER, and we did the installs ourselves.

Just curious - Does your only key lock & unlock the deadbolt(s)? Jayco uses the universal 751 key for all locks on all of their trailers except the deadbolts. If it locks & unlocks the deadbolt it's not a 751 and a locksmith should be able to make a key from the one you have.

I believe you can also contact Jayco with the VIN number and they can send you the correct key. Check with a Jayco dealer.

Too bad your key doesn't have the number on it because you can order deadbolt keys here. http://www.rvlocksandmore.com/Global...s#.VkJssrerSUk
