Lubricating Elec. Stabs

For you who run electric stabs, what do you use to lubricate them?

Mine sound terrible, and I've lubed them with everything in my arsenal (graphite, lithium, silicone ...) except grease. Nothing seems to work. The way the worm gears look, it looks like grease would be ideal, but I don't want the grease catching and holding dirt.

So what do you guys use?

I can say that if these things ever fold, I'll most likely be replacing with manual jacks.

No one lubes their electric stabilizer jacks?

I use Blaster Garage Door Lube (clicky) to lube my rear stabilizer jack and the metal box slide tubes on my slide. This lube dries to a non-tacky slick film and I think does a good job for those two lube jobs. I experimented with it before using it and sprayed a coating on a raw piece of metal; it dried completely - no tack - and made a slick coating.

Had electric rear stabilizer jacks on our fifth wheel. Tried every lube imaginable, none of it lasted long, all of them attracted road grit/dirt. Guess that's unavoidable given the location of the jacks. Since we bought our WhiteHawk, (manual scissor jacks), I've been using a 'dry' food grade silicone spray made by CRC. I use it on the scissor jacks, all the moving parts of the slide mechanism, even the exterior slide seals. Very happy with it. Costs about 9-12 bucks a can depending on where you buy it. I've been able to pick it up from the local Ace Hardware or Fastenal store. Doesn't last forever either, but definitely a lot less road 'goop' accumulating on the scissor jacks, slide mechanism and it seems to maintain the slide seals nicely.
