Microwave

Other than the size, does it matter what kind of microwave you put in an RV? We need to replace out Microwave Oven and not sure what to get.

The actual size that will fit in your opening with trim kit. Most small microwaves are all about the same cooking wattage. They are all 120volts. The main concern is size for looks and without cutting cabinets.

If you have the microwave and exhaust hood in one unit it will be hard to find a replacement as they are special for RV's. $$$$$$$$$$$$ If your microwave is a stand alone unit you have lots of choices.

We had a problem with our all in one and were lucky enough to find a place that could repair it. New quotes were in the $500 - $600 range.

As long as there is adequate air circulation around the microwave it will work fine.. Just dont get one so big it fills up the entire space...
