New Hardware for New TV

Well, I picked up my new Tundra last weekend. I did not know at the time, if your Toyota does not have tow mirrors when it leaves port, a dealer will not install them. I was lucky to find Sparks Toyota and they were able to get me OEM mirrors for 199 each, that I installed myself. Its more than the ebay knock offs, but from what I found, they have less shake, and the adjustments are better on them.

Its nice they are still power and heated, and the LED blinkers and lights work on the side. They manually slide out about 4.5 inches, and with a double mirror, they work great.

Looks great!
So tell me, why does the dealer not want to re+re the mirrors. I don't get it.

They said Toyota won't let them install it after you buy it and it "comes out of port". I guess they do not want anyone taking the door apart.

I would have paid the $278 an hour labor charge if they would have done it, but they refused. Oh well, that's cash not in their pocket.
