OBD II bluetooth adator and Android app

I did a search on this and surprisingly there were no results.

Here's the question, what are you using and how do you like it? My goal is both real time feedback and code reading/resetting.

I'm looking at the BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool and Torque Pro app.

Thoughts?

Seems like a good combo given your configuration. I've got an iPhone so that wouldn't work for me.

I have heard good things from a coworker about torque pro and torque lite.

I've had the same hardware (I think - it looks like that) and software for several years now. I hardly ever run it because the documentation is crap - meaning none.

I posted a thread in the towing section about this. I use the torque pro app as well with a cheap Amazon Bluetooth dongle. Awesome app and a whole lot easier than installing multiple gauges. I cross loaded the app onto my 7 inch Kindle and mounted it to the dash of my truck. Worked great on an 1800 Mile trip last month. Only thing is most help on their forum seems tobedevoted to deisels. Had to look hard to get the correct PIDS for a Ford Escape...although my Suburban was a lot easier.

For the price. It works great. It'll reset and read the codes. However it doesn't read soft codes(ses light comes on and then go off). That was on my Ford. But it will read a soft code if the ses light is on. Also you get real time data from it as well. Very handy. If your looking to do deep diagnostic you might want to spend the extra $$ on something else but what your describing what you want to do should work just fine.

In my 2500, I used an Edge guage. ( edge products ). Not a chip, just a guage. Plugged into ODBC. It gave me real time data about the diesel truck including tranny temp, exhaust gas temp with add on probe and info about turbo and fuel rail performance It also let you read and reset error codes. I really liked mine a lot.
