Question Power Supply/Inverter

I have a question about my powersupply/battery charger.
First off i have a 1999 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel. the inverter has a loud hum when in use - is this normal or is the loud hum indicative of imminent failure? Any suggestions on what to buy if we should need a new one? Thanks very much - any help is appreciated!!

Hummm... Isn't exactly a good thing...

Ok try this... On your charger disconnect the output leads and see if the Humm continues. If it stops then there is something loading the circuit heavy. (Bad Batteries, etc)

Ahh that might be it... The fact there is no batteries will cause Humm noise because of the AC ripple...

Batteries tend to smooth it out like a capacitor... So I would get at least 1 battery and try again...
