replacing a 13.5k a/c unit to a 15k unit ?

Can I replace my 13.5 unit to a 15k unit ? I have a Honda eu7000 to run my trailer and I think it will do fine. has anyone changed out the unit for a bigger one and what if any problems do you for see ? I'm just doing the swap to see if it cools the trailer any better on these texas 100 plus days of summer or just wait till after the first of the year and go shop for the one I should of got the first time around, lol,,thx 16 jayco sl octane 222

Since no one has chimed in here, I'll give you my .02 worth .
I would not think the difference would be worth the money. If it were me (easy for me to say, huh?), I would opt for a second 13.5 unit. That way you know you will cool down and I'm pretty sure your 7000 Honda (nice gennie, by the way), will handle both units, considering that a 3000 gennie will power one 13.5 AC.

It's an easy swap. Hardest part is get old unit off the roof and the new one on the roof.

I think the reason no one is chiming in is that it likely is not a common thing. I can talk about my opinion all day but I have never known anyone that did this.

I see no reason it can't be done except you will be left with a good ac unit to sell.

Thanks everyone, You could add a 2nd unit up front but the wiring and probably a separate breaker box and than how to plug into ginny is unknown to me. I wish I could just find out really how much of a difference there is that you can feel just going up 1500 from a 13.5 to 15. I really just need to wait till after the first of the year and go shopping again. I still remember this quote""""" You need to buy your second trailer first, because what you think will work for the 1st one is not big enough after a month of ownership """ Live and learn,,, lol
