Screw size

I am finally mounting a 24" tv in the 2012 22fb for our trip to Acadia N.P. next week. The plan is to mount it the the wall above the sofa. So to all of you that have done this task what size screw or lag bolt is used an how many. I plan on using 4. With the thin wall it won't look good sticking out the bathroom side of the wall unless we use it to hang towels on (ha ha) Also what cable would be used to connect it. just a regular coaxial or something else.
