self leveling jacks

We own a 2013 jayco Pinnacle with electric self leveling jacks. Is anyone out there having problems with them or operating them?

We have the factory Atwood electric auto levelers and they work well.

Are you having problems?

Don't know the brand but oour camper looks just like your except it is beige, kitchen pantry, three slides. One went to doing a lot of clicking and they replaced the motors, new sleeves and whatever. First time home with it unhooked, went fine then when we went to hook back up the same jack would not work. Got it back to shop and they reprogramed it. They said it was nothing we did but it should not get unprogramed that easy. Anyway here is hoping it is fixed. It has been in and out of the shop probably six months of the first year for some kind of problem, either the jacks or the slide outs. They replaced the big tv/kitchen slide with bigger motors and replaced bedroom motors, know those slides are not coming in smoothly at all. It has been a headache. We are not new to fifth wheels, this is our third one with the first being a jayco designer, the second one a Forest River and now back to Jayco. Hope it quits giving us problems and becomes the great camper our first Jayco was. Julia

Sounds like you are talking about 2 separate issues;

1. auto-leveling system which is made by Atwood

There is a proper sequence to use when hooking/unhooking and you may want to ask your dealer to go through (completely) the actual entire process for both.

2. slide outs that are made by Lippert/Schwintek

We had an issue with our door side slide the week we picked up the rig and it turned out to that the gears in the motors on each corner of the slide were not synced together. Jayco and Lippert got together and ended up sending overnight new motors, brackets and whatever else they wanted to replace to make it right. This was all done at n/c to us including the overnight shipping charges. No further issues and are very happy with the product and service. Love our Pinnacle!

Good luck and hope this helps.

In answer to Juliaand jimmy, yes. I have 'em on our new Pinnacle and they have been nothing but problematic. To the point that I don't feel confident towing the unit anywhere because it often just quits responding completely and that is very frustrating.
