I can only say that mine is not loose on the inside, its tight all the way in......

Ours is tight also on all three slides.

2017 Silverado 1500 4x4 5.3 with tow package. (no, we don't tow the Jayco with it.)
2018 Surveyor 265RLDS well equipped.

It should be tight. The glue is water based so if water gets under the membrane it could loosen the membrane more. Happened to me on the front of the trailer.

Mine is loose; it looks just like William's does. Maybe slide rooms vary in their design. With mine, the looseness makes a hill on the inside edge of the slide; I assumed for the purpose of not allowing water to run inside the RV.

Mine is also "loose" on the inside upper edge.. since I bought it.. dealer said not to worry about it and it has been that way for over 4 years now
