Question Solar Panel Wire Installation

I have a 2008 Jayco Eagle 341 RLQS 5Th Wheel. Now that I have decided to go solar I have decided to put all the Solar Components inside the Generator Box Area in the front of my 5er since I do not have a Generator. I have plenty of room for the batteries, Inverter, MPPT Controller, and Fuse boxes. ( Big Generator Box lucky for me ).

The problem I have to figure out is how in the hell I am going to get the solar panel wires from the roof down into the Generator box area. I guess I can get a 3 foot long drill bit and drill thru the top of the RV and go thru the closet then thru the floor into the Generator box area. My concern would be if I did that my concern would be about ripping any wires when drilling in that area. Not sure if this is the best way to do it.

If anybody has a better way of routing the solar panel wires from the roof down into Generator Box area which is in front of the 5er please let me know.

Thanks guys

Ask the about drilling a hole from the bedroom closed up thru the roof to run some wires and this is the answer I get...........

There is risk of cutting wires.

There are a number of wires run through the roof cavity for ceiling lights and running lights.

Unfortunately none of our prints show the specific locations of these wires in the roof cavity.

The wires are run free hand and the location may vary depending on who is working the line on any given day.

These guys have no Idea where they laid out the wiring in a RV? Guess it shows how the Quality of an RV they build!

These guys suck!

And very similar to a house. Depending on the electrician the wires are in a generalized area but they could be anywhere. If you would take the plant tour you would see what they mean. The wire could be going through the center, mid center, or left of the roof. When they do provde a wiring diagram it shows point "A" to point "B" not the exact route and I am surprised they didn't send you that.

Is there a plumbing vent in the area? Some folks go down alongside the vent or even run the wires inside the vent pipe for a ways. That's what I did this summer and no issues so far. Not everyone thinks it's a good idea but it worked like a charm for me.
