Television speakers (HELP)

After sitting for 6 months in storage we have not been able to get the speakers on the television (RCA) to work. The only way we can get tv sound is to turn on the Jensen radio. It is not on mute and I have checked every thing on the menu. Any suggestions???? It worked fine in April when we took it to the storage lot.

All I could do is go over all the plug in cables and changeable options on the tv.

I just had a DVD player working great a week ago, now the audio output is kaput. Moved over to another audio out jack and it works fine!

Since the Jensen radio gets its audio input from the TV there must be something failed within the TV itself. Not sure what failed could be a loose wire or circuit board or a failed sub-component.

If there is an earphone jack on the TV, it may have dirty contacts. Insert and remove an earphone plug several times and it may clean them. A little bit of spray contact cleaner may also help.

Thanks for the replys. I think the tv has a problem as everything is turned on and plugging and unplugging the jacks hasn't helped.
