The Jack Antenna

I know there have been numerous posts on RV antennas in the past but my camping season starts in one week and I don't have the patience to research any info on the Jack antenna, if there is any in the first place. Please offer an opinion if you have a Jack antenna on your RV. My situation is that one of the bat wings broke off my antenna. I can replace the bat wing antenna for about $75.00 or purchase the Jack antenna and mount on the old bat wing location for about $55.00. Personally, when I am camping, I could care less to watch the TV but since I live in Tornado Alley, I want to be able to pick up some local digital stations that broadcast weather conditions. If you have purchased a Jack, please rate your opinion of it.

1 - Just replace the standard bat wing antenna.
2 - Its about the same as the bat wing antenna
3 - Its the best thing since sliced bread.

Thanks in advance for your feedback,
Dan

#3. I purchased the Jack antenna last year. I have not regretted it. I had the batwing with the wingman added to it. The Jack brings in more stations and I don't have to "fine tune it". Before I had to turn the antenna each time I wanted to get a different channel.

The Jack antenna is around $55.00 on Amazon....the batwing replacement head is around $75.00, not the complete assembly, just the head, also on Tweedys.com.
