thermostat blows 2 amp fuse

I have a Jayco White Hawk Ultra light. My 2 amp thermostat fuse on my Coleman Mach thermostat keeps blowing. I can turn on the AC and then a put a new fuse in and the AC works. When I switch it off at the thermostat it blows the 2 amp fuse. If I turn the system off and then put in a new fuse and then turn on the AC with the thermostat the fuse blows. I can put in a new fuse turn on the heat and it works fine. Turn the heat off and it blows the fuse. It seems anytime I move the control at the thermostat it blows the fuse. I am at a loss. Thanks for your help in advance.

Have you pulled the cover and checked the wiring? Personally I'd replace the T-stat. Sounds like something may be touching the ground or common wire.

I have pulled the thermostat and all wiring appears to be connected and tight

Sounds like a defective thermostat.

You could look at the furnace end as well. I hope someone didn't scuff the insulation off the wiring through the walls, causing a short.

I called the thermostat company and talked with a tech. It suggested there was nothing in the thermostat that would cause a fuse to blow. I checked all wiring and it seemed fine. I finally took it into a service center. They just called and said it was a bad thermostat. If this is true, so much for the expertise of the company techs.
