Yeah! And No Way! About an hour after we finished, this little sprinkling occured. From our vantage point, we didn't even see rain clouds. Lasted about 5 minutes. No forecast of rain/precipitation so that was unexpected... what are the chances!

Look's like tomorrow I will head back up there and do the Dicor Squeeze

Heading up soon, but do I need to wipe with the mineral spirits first?

Wow...the repair shop has been busy.....

Hey - I think it was Crabby said to remove the old sealant before applying Eternabond...I thought you could apply it right over the clean old caulk?? Is it really necessary to remove the old stuff?

Day 2: (feeling really proud! I actually did something I initially thought was super hard! LOL)

Applying the goop! I only hit the actual cracks and holes around the ladder/vents/antenna.

Attachment 6000

With the front cap, there were so many fine cracks, cracks, or little holes, that I just covered the whole area running from side to side. Hope that was ok. The goop acually covered all the way down to the roof top itself.

I would have loved to have down the eternabond. Oh well.

First off.....tell Ray I am so impressed with his hose nozzle! No self respecting fireman would be without that nozzle at home and I am glad to see him making good choices...

Second...that roof is waaaayyyy too clean! Wish mine looked like that! Parking under trees all the time is really hard on a roof!

Kewl! Glad you noticed! (I am really proud of the new looking roof!). We try to wash it after camping under a tree

Ray's hose.. brings back memories of his Fire Reserve days

Yes, Eternabond tape can be applied over existing caulking.

Well my 5er will be 5 years old soon. Although I have kept it under a barn since new except for the days we have been camping in it, I guess I need to crawl on the roof and check the seals, etc.

My TT remains exposed to the elements 365 days a year, so I check my roof every spring and fall. Plan to do my spring PM once I'm down in Texas!!

I actually checked it in 2011 when I washed down the roof and they all looked pretty good then. Didn't wash the roof this season as we didn't camp it out that many days so it is definately due a good soaping and rinsing this next spring.

When I leave on my trip late Feb, early March I doubt that the weather will allow me to wash my TT when I pull it out of storage. I guess I will have to call ahead and see if the CG I'm staying at allows washing RV's there. If not, I'll find a place prior to arriving in Texas.
