TV/Trailer aerodynamics info.

Spent some time searching and think these two sources may help define the discussion.

Transport Canada site http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/programs/env...-menu-eng-2939 html

One item is removing mirrors for almost 1,000 litres of fuel saved per semi per year. Replaced by camera and video screens in cab.

Also, Airtab.com

Just my 2 cents; except in Canada we got rid of the penny.

No lane changes?............ It is after all a very long gov't. study.

They actually don't recommend in the end to do away with mirrors on semi's, but still, to me, it is amazing how much fuel is saved by taking them off.

Considering how much fuel members use, I think RV'ers may want to look at what the long haul guys do.
