Dealer. And the reason is that manufacturer needs the dealer to vet out the issue first. They are the eyes and ears of Jayco.

You should start with your dealer.

Our first TT had a defective radio and I connected directly with Jayco. They wanted me to work thru a dealer. I whined about the distance and lost time and they finally offered to send the replacement directly to me if I was comfortable installing it. That was 4+ years ago and policy may have changed but it worked for me then. Had the problem required an axle or cabinet replacement I'm sure it would have been a different story.

Case closed, started with Jayco and they assigned a case number and referred me to a Ford dealer for repair. Our Grayhawk was there for 5 days with as check engine and gas cap light. Found screws from Jayco assembly run through vacuum gas tank vacume line during assembly. Good job Jayco paid dealer and no out of pocket from me.

My local dealer told me the reason they don't sell Jayco MH's is they do not have the techs to do the repairs. I don't think all of them have that opinion.
It's good to know that Jayco stepped up and you did not get the runaround to fix your rigs problem.
Thanks for telling us the rest of the story.

Oh but that's not all of the Warranty story. Also have severe stress cracking on front cap area, submitted pictures to dealer and Jayco and they authorized a front cap Replacement. Yesterday dealer calls and wants the RV because the new cap has arrived. I sure hope this goes well and don't leak when completed.

Just so you all know, Hope it helps someone, My dealer is a 1 hour drive away. There is a camping World 6 minutes away.
When I had my 1st warranty issue with the 28BHBE, I called Jayco and spoke with them about it. Jayco told me that since the CW sells Star Craft RV's (Subsidiary of Jayco) they would authorize me to take the trailer to CW. Been going there ever since. No issues. Sure is convenient. CW calls me they day before they are going to start working on it, I drop it off and then go pick it up when they are done.

One thing we've learned...you can get lost in the shuffle when they order parts or submit a claim to the manufacturer. We always need to call back at least a couple of times if we haven't heard from them in a reasonable length of time (we give them two-three weeks).
