Water Pressure While Hot Water Heater is Operating;

Ok, I am in need of a knowledgeable plumber to answer this question, or a life experienced RVer would also be great:
Is there a pressure valve in the hot water tank to keep the pressure from entering the plumbing system?
On our water pressure gauge the pressure will climb to 75 lbs. while the hot water heater is heating up.
This is a concern due to the recommended pressure is 55 lbs.…or so I have heard.
If any of you could shed some light on this, I would really appreciate it.

Sorry, I know the answer to a few plumbing questions, like which way does sewer flow, but never spent much time thinking about that. The WH does have a pressure relief valve.

As the water heats up it does expand.

Where do you have your pressure gauge? I am assuming you are using the city water connection. Are you using a back flow preventer on your city water connections?

There is a pressure relief valve on the hot water tank. If you open the outside cover, typically the pressure relief valve is in the upper left hand corner. There should be a tag on it, indicating the relief pressure.

I have never checked what our pressure is while operating the water heater.

I have the pressure gauge at the point of entry and yes, I am using the city water connection.
No, back flow preventers...as I understand it, require expansion tank to be used.
Pressure relief valves can be set as high as 150 lbs or 210 degrees from what I have read...could be typos.
My concern is...at this pressure, it could break the plastic fittings used in RV's.

Am not a plumber, but would assume that the pressure relief valve on the HW tank would be set by the designers to accommodate any increased pressure put on the system by increased temp of water in the tank. As Jagiven previously said, I have never checked the pressure on the system, nor do I have a pressure gauge. Never had a problem with the plumbing on any of my TTs or the current 5er. But I do have a pressure regulator on the water supply at CGs, which I believe limits it to around 50lbs.
