Weight limit on pinnacle rear bedroom slide

Would like to put a different bed in the rear bedroom of our pinnacle. What is the weight limit for that rear slide? Thanks!

You talking a mattress change or an entirely new bed including base?

If so what is the weight of what you want to put in?

We have a king tempurpedic with reverre base. 286 lbs for the base. With mattress approx 50 lbs. with 2 people approx 350 lbs. so @ 686 lbs

Concern is the slide out and capability of holding that weight without ruining the rollers

How heavy is the current bed? The delta is really all you're worried about. Because I'm sure you are all ready sleeping on the bed on the slide.

Are the slides lippert? If so, they likely do not have rollers.

Heck, if they DID have rollers, you'd probably be better off! [emoji3]

But since the unit is so new, you probably still have a plastic bag from the manufacturer that includes all the manuals and documentation specific to the unit. You might get lucky, and as you read the manuals, you might find the info you seek.

Craig
Thanks so much for you info. We do have rollers and hubby Jay is looking thru those manuals as you suggested. You have actually given us more info than Jayco has. We've been waiting over 2 weeks for an answer. Have a great day and thanks again!!

Where did you get that info?

LIPPERT slides as well as the SCHWINTEK have support rollers. At least they do on our PINNACLE.

The lipperts under my trailer have just a greasy thrust-bearing that supports the slide arms. I've never seen any rollers. Maybe we're mixing terminology?

When the slides go out, there's plenty of noise... enough noise that a roller would definitely make things quieter!

Like I said in my first response, rollers would make the slide mechanism quite capable. So much that I would hazard a guess the limiting weight factor would not be the slide mechanism, but rather the wall of the trailer.

MAYBE the reason the pinnacle is a superior unit to the jay flight is because it has rollers under the slide arms. Either way, I wasn't trying to offend anyone.

Yep, confusion. I'm talking inside under the slide, outside the rails run on nylon pads and the rack gear.

You should not have any grease on the slide rails that just attracts dirt & grime.

I will admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong.

I looked very close tonight, and dogGonnit there are nylon rollers supporting the bottom of the slide arms!

I looked past what I had assumed were the slide bearings, into the assembly and I see them clear as day.

I still think a manual is a place to look for ratings.

Hubby Jay looked into our slide out system and it is a Lippert system. He is calling them to get technical questions answered since Jayco Tech help did not help us at all. Hanks again all of you for your great insight! I will let you know what we find out
